The Russian River Valley is ideal for producing high quality Chardonnay. Its cool, foggy mornings allow for the fruit to retain its natural mouthwatering acidity even after it has gone through it's secondary malolactic fermentation. The hot, dry afternoons allow for a slow ripening process, preserving fruity aromatics. This wine is 100% Chardonnay and shows off an assortment of crisp, fruity aromas such as green apple, pear, orange zest, and grapefruit. Monthly stirring of the lees, and aging for a full year in French oak (35% new) complements these flavors and weaves a warm vanilla caramel accent throughout.
