An elegant, classic Gruner Veltliner. "Altweingarten" translates as "Old Vineyard" and the grapes for this wine are grown in the oldest vineyard in the little village of Großriedenthal (it dates back to the Middle Ages).The wine could not be more classically Grüner Veltliner. An intense nose of blossom, jasmine, white pepper and citrus gives way to a fresh, zingy, lean palate of lime, lemon and apple with hints of spice and bell pepper. Great focus and precision, with a really long finish. Once again unoaked, allowing the real Grüner Veltliner aroma to shine through.
