The estate was founded by the late Gianni Masciarelli in 1978, the first wines being released in 1981. All the vineyards are very rich in minerals and clay, both of which lend a distinctly 'stony' aspect to the wines. This approachable rosato is made from 100% Montepulciano d'Abruzzo grapes and like most roses undergoes a short fermentation - in this case 15 days. A vibrant cherry red in color. On the nose, aromas of dried cherries and plums with notes of violet. On the palate, rounded and harmonious with a bright acidity. Hints of summer red fruits and orange peel lead to a refreshing finish.
